Kids are Best Left Sleeping

I am sipping the first of what will likely be three cups of coffee.
I just had a girly slumber party. My great-niece, my daughter and her daughter. The great niece slept with me and tried like heck to kick, push and slide me out of bed while the dog complained there wasn’t any room. My daughter and grand-daughter slept on the couch. They are all still sleeping and I am exhausted from NOT sleeping. We didn’t even get to have fun last night ’cause I was stuck hemming pants for my niece! When I said sure she had one pair in her hands; she handed me three to do and have done this morning. Gads. What a way to spend a Friday night.
I will have to get the kids up soon. I have to take them to a birthday party for another kid in the family. Oh well. I guess it’s just that we got to spend time together, not what we did.
